Town Board Meeting

Hi Neighbor!

Have you heard about 11.4%? That equals $10,500,000 of a taxpayer bailout for out of control spending on unnecessary politician resume building projects.

Like what? Est.:
- $45 million to begin the Westwood Planned Unit Development that includes roads, destruction of 30+ acres, paying to physically relocated up to 20 buildings from around the town, multiple 30,000 sq/ft construction of buildings, vacating most of the current Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, a Pre-K system (at a “park”?), farm animals near Sheridan and homes, etc.
- Up to $51 million in cost, paid by taxpayers, for LED Streetlights that will take up to 35 years to breakeven in costs. There was a FREE option for National Grid to replace bulbs with LED as they burned out, at no cost, but the town board ignored it.
- Up to $61 million towards the Blvd. Mall, the town is currently in a lengthy and costly legal battle against JCPenney and wants to acquire 61 acres to then do demo and infrastructure costing tens of millions, before giving it back to private developers, which could take decades.

Come to the Town Board Meeting, meet neighbors and learn how your tax money is being wasted!

Share, tell a neighbor, & show up 2/26/24 to shape the future of Amherst NY!

YOU are paying for it.

Please come with a friend to simply hear the board, residents, and/or bring a 3 minute public expression piece to speak your mind of opinions, thoughts, concerns, & questions to the town board.
